*Citizens of Hungary can cross the border between these two states with either a valid passport or an identity card, and stay up to 90 days *Citizens of Croatia can cross the border between these two states with either a valid passport or an identity card issued not later than 31 December 2002 and stay up to 90 days
* Entry of Croatian nationals into the Schengen area must be recorded pursuant to the provisions of the Schengen Borders Code, i.e. when a national crosses the Schengen border the border police carrying out border check must stamp the passport with entry stamp.
IMPORTANT: Any failure to record entry into the Schengen area may entail a fine and a prohibition of entry into the Schengen area.
